Dr. Wenwan Zhong is a Professor of Chemistry at University of California, Riverside. She obtained her B.S. from University of Science and Technology of China, and Ph.D. from Iowa State University. Her research is devoted to developing innovative analytical techniques to advance our understanding on how biomolecules function and to improve disease diagnosis and treatment. Her group combines synthetic receptors, functional nucleic acids, and nanomaterials, with analytical techniques like open-channel separation, optical spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry, for the discovery and analysis of biomarkers. Her group is also interested in study of the nano-bio interface to help with sustainable development of nanomaterials.
